Software: Microsoft Select Scheme

The Microsoft Select volume-licensing program offers the Centre for Education & Finance Management's Subscribing Schools volume discounts on all Microsoft product licences. By taking advantage of the agreement your school can benefit from the highest level of discount available from Microsoft.

How the Select program works

Once you confirm your participation in the Select program, your price level is fixed for Microsoft software acquisitions over the two-year agreement term. The Education price levels will apply to all of your Select software acquisitions including licences, disks and manuals.

It is important to remember that you are only allowed to make one copy per license, whatever the Microsoft product. Please note that Microsoft hardware products are also available through the Select program.

License Types

Select has a variety of license types available, depending on your requirements.

  • New licences. These simply enable you to obtain usage rights for Microsoft software products.
  • Version upgrades. These allow you to use the latest software available by upgrading your Microsoft product license to the most recent version.
  • Competitive upgrades. These make it easy to move to the industry's leading software products.
  • Upgrade advantage. Not only can you use the latest software available when you enrol a prior version in Upgrade Advantage, but you are also entitled to any major or minor upgrades Microsoft releases during the remainder of your agreement.

Upgrade Advantage

Adding Upgrade Advantage to your product license provides upgrade rights for the covered products for the remainder of the Select agreement term.
